It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Hankey of Watertown, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George E. Hankey III; and her parents, Ralph J. Sr. Fortier and Lulu Fortier (Dwyer). She is survived by: her daughters, Stacy Hankey-Mangini (David) of Watertown and Marci Hankey of Thomaston; her siblings, Linda Jacovino of Waterbury, Ralph "Skip" J. Fortier Jr. (Janet) of Thomaston, David Fortier Sr. (Maryann) of Waterbury and Lisa Fortier of Thomaston; her grandson Colton Mangini; and her pet Sam. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the All Saints Cemetery (203 Spring Lake Rd, Waterbury, CT 06706).
