He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sophie Kopycinski and Jakubiak; his wife Ann Kopycinski (Meehan); his daughters, Karen Ryan (Scott) and Paula Gentry (Kerry); his grandchildren, Kayley, Matthew Ryan and Mitchell Gentry; and his siblings, Daniel Kopycinski (Susan), Joan McAvoy, Sandra Gashgorian, Jenny Voisine (Robert), Charlie, Raymond, Joseph Kopycinski, Claire Selander and Carol Parkington. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
