Messina (Waterford, Connecticut), born in New London, Connecticut, who passed away on February 11, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Cornelius Shine; and her brothers, Cornelius, Bud, John, James, Richard Shine and Her.
She is survived by: her parent Lola Shine (Greene); and her children, Joseph (Dedee Messina), Sharon Messina (Jonathan Hiller) of Gales Ferry and Judy (Bob Branch) of New London.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Cornelius "Bud', John, James and Richard Shine. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday fro 5 to 7 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. Guest are asked to gather, for a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 am in St. Joseph Church, New London. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
