He is survived by: his parents, Ralph Polen and Patricia Polen (Sullivan); his children, Christopher Polen, Ashley Herrans (Gabriel), Storm Polen (Maggie), Douglas Hedin (Ninoshkka) and Brattani Lopez (Christopher); his grandchildren, Cameron, Elijah, Isiah, Melanie, Christian, Abigail, Kiera, Oakley, Kevin, Anthony, Marielena, Jacob, Michael and Cassiel; his sister Diane Balbat (David); and his nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Peter, Paul and Alicia.
