He was predeceased by: his parent Madelaine; and his father-in-law Ernesto Gomez. He is survived by: his wife Aileen Edson; his children, Desiree Edson, Melanie Kapelson and Richard Edson; and his parents-in-law, Joy Dyrsten, James (Fina Edson), Deborah Adams, Jacquelyne (Richard Plaatsman) and Anna Perullero.
