The memory of Karen Menzies of Waterford, Connecticut, who passed away on April 10, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, John (Carolyn) of Roswell, Georgia and David (Katrina) of Stonington, Connecticut.; her husband John Irving Menzies; her parents, Lawrence "Larry" Randolph Jacobsen and Anne Elizabeth "Betty" Trail Jacobsen; her siblings, David (Claudette) of Union Grove, AL, Janice (Ernie) of Old Saybrook and Sandy (Jeff) of Groton; her stepdaughters, Peggie (Stephen) of Edgewater, FL, Judy (Ben) of Killingworth and Barbara (Robert) of Clinton; and her stepgrandchildren, Rebekka, Kaleen, Richard, Daniel and Lyle.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Byles Groton Memorial (310 Thames St, Groton, CT 06340). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the Waterford Women's Club of Waterford, CT.
