Karen A. Burgess Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen A. Burgess of Waterford, Connecticut, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Kenneth Carlson and Olga Carlson (Sleights). She is survived by: her husband Charles W. Burgess; her daughters, Victoria (Michael Spooner), Heather (James O'Shea) and Regina (Jack Broome); her grandchildren, Carl (Jennifer Spooner), Joseph O'Shea (Chloe Vilain), Evin O'Shea (Colleen Bernard), Elissa Evans (Alex Stevens) and Andrew (Roberta Broome); and her great grandchildren, Scott Spooner and Stella Spooner.
Karen had three grandchildren in the military service and hated to see anyone going hungry, in lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in her memory to Montville Social Services for Vets, 310 Norwich NL Tpke., Uncasville CT 06382 or the Gemma Moran Food Bank, 347 Broad Street, New London CT 06320.
