He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain George Edward Peterson and Alice Peterson (Abrahamson); his brother George Peterson; and his stepdaughter Heather Bond-Cavanagh. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his stepdaughter Louise Russell (James Russell) of Huntsville, AL; his grandsons, Michael, Andrew and Sean Rutledge; and his stepgrandchildren, Jasmine, Sydney Bond-Cavanagh, Jessie, Jamie and James Russell.
