She was predeceased by: her siblings, Slade S. Smith, Ellison H. Smith and Caroline Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Michael T. Shaw (Robin) of St. Louis, Mark B. Shaw (Elizabeth) of Anderson, S. C. and David M. Shaw of North Haven.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Humane Society or to Hospice of the Upstate.
