He was predeceased by: his parents, George Payne and Grace Payne; his wife Patricia Fredette; his sister Virginia Cahey; his grandson Jeremy Payne; and his daughter-in-law Donna Payne (Keith).
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Payne (Deborah) of Uncasville, Keith Payne of Lebanon and Craig Payne (Beverly) of Waterford; and his siblings, Alan J. Payne and Karen Porter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home (12 Ocean Ave, New London, CT 06320). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to either the American Cancer Society or the Make a Wish Foundation.
