She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron F. Brown and Veronica Brown (LaPrad); her husband James E. Swenarton; her son David Swenarton; and her siblings, Peter and Beverly Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Julia Lynch (Kevin) of East Hampton, Amy Swenarton of Waterford, John Swenarton (Robin) of Stonington, Mary Chapman (Robert) of South Windham, Thomas Swenarton of Pahoa, HI and Lora Murphy (Timothy) of Waterford; and her grandchildren, Timothy, Patrick Lynch, James, David and Lydia Swenarton. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
