With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Cooper of Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on March 31, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas F. Cooper and Catherine Cooper (Mahoney); his children, Ernest King II and Wendy King; and his sisters, Joanna McCarthy, Mary Esther Quattro and Sheila Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon M. Cooper (Larrabee); his grandchildren, Cori Theriault (Deirdre) of Meriden, Ernest King III of Bristol, Patrick King of Bristol, Michael Hayes of Willington and Shai Mancarella of Meriden; and his siblings, Catherine Theriault (Roger) of Waterbury, Thomas Cooper (Maurie) of Newtown and Ellen Knutson (Hebert) of Prospect. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
