He is survived by: his wife Caitlin Vaichus (Sabella); his parents, Charles Vaichus and Patricia Vaichus (Windisch) of Wolcott; his mother-in-law Patricia Sabella (Cuneo) of Waterbury; his grandmother Anne Vaichus of Oakville; and his siblings, Alan Vaichus (Karen) of Gardner, SC, Benjamin Vaichus (Danielle) of Plainville, Christopher Vaichus (Emily) of Southington, Justin Vaichus (Samantha) of Southington, Rachel Varanelli and Brittany Thomas of Southington. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins.

He spent several years working for Sensorworxs in Wallingford, CT, making significant contributions to the field.
