She was predeceased by: her spouse Lieutenant Ernest C. Deal; her parents, John L. Capino and Laura Capino (Rivard); her son Ernest "Buster" Deal, Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Scott Lanzara and Kevin Leighton.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Rose Hinman (Art) of Wolcott, Mark Deal (Marilyn) of Naugatuck, Thomas Deal of Okinawa, Mary Leighton of Maine and Kim G. Lanzara of Thomaston; and her daughter-in-law Linda Deal of Bristol. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
