He was predeceased by: his parents, Achille "Archie" Fontaine and Georgette Fontaine (Descoteaux). He is survived by: his close friend Elizabeth "Beth" Sjostedt Fontaine; his cousins, Diane Bacchiocchi, Louise Bacchiocchi, Raymond Loiseau, Bob Pettinicchi and Bruce Pettinicchi; his sister-in-law Peggy Rae Gutjahr; his niece Meghan Kofod; his nephew Ted Taylor; and his godchildren, Kate VonDuntz, Laura Bacchiocchi and Peter Svab.
