He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lewis and Jannie Lewis; and his siblings, Juanita Petteway and Richard Moore. He is survived by: his children, Monique Lewis (Curtis) of Waterbury, John Lewis Jr., Latonia Lewis and Daniel Lewis of Waterbury; his grandchildren, Malakai Duarte, Anthony Smith, Jamarion Lewis and Cameron Lewis; his siblings, Deborah Lewis Thornton (Bruce), Robert "Bobby" Moore of New Jersey and Carol Curry of Bristol, Connecticut.; and his cousin Carol Shells. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends.
