We are sad to announce that on June 7, 2024, at the age of 88, Geraldine M. Hankey of Waterbury, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Geraldine departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Geraldine. Though Geraldine may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her spouse George'Bucky'Hankey; her parents, George Burdette and Rosa Burdette (Foster); her husband Bucky; and her children, Micheal Porto, David Porto and Doreen Santoli.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Porto-Velez (Jaime) and Carol Wilton (Paul); her children-in-law, Diane Porto, Suzanne Porto and Frank Santoli; and her siblings, Charles Burdette (late Georgiana) of Middlebury and Flossie Bennett (Glen) of West Virginia. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
