He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Blasius and Anna Blasius (Sorenson); his children, Frederick W. "Fritz" Blasius Jr., Andrea Rodriguez (Juan) of Bristol, Kathryne Durant (Darrell) of Waterbury and Deb Fabiani (Maurice) of Watertown; and his sister Lillian Goldsmith of West Haven. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
