He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Turmel and Margaret Turmel (Griffin); and his siblings, Mary Fortier, Joan Strumpf, Ann Fantano, Richard Turmel, Ruth Buccini, Joseph Turmel and Geraldine Hawks.
He is survived by: his children, Francis "Franie" W. Turmel Jr. of Waterbury, Tracey Kuzmich (William "BJ") of Wolcott, Paula Shaw (Tom) of Prospect and Robyn Vinci (Tommy) of Oxford; his siblings, Ronald Turmel Sr. (Patsy) of Watertown, Carol Anderson (Walt) of Morris, Judith Tartaro of Morris and Brother David Turmel; his grandchildren, Eric Turmel, Lauren Sovinsky (Bryan), Kara Turmel (Jordan Badstuebner), Taylor Shaw, Riley Shaw, Connor Shaw, Kerrigan Shaw, Mackenzie Vinci and Madison Vinci; and his great grandchildren, Zachary and Landon Sovinsky. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
