Monteiro (Ribeiro); her children, Charles "Pete" Mazon, Jr., Justina Johnson and Darlene Mazon; her grandson Charles Mazon III; her great grandchild Ja-Siah Vargas; and her siblings, Henry, Daniel, Alfred Monteiro and Mary Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline Mazon-Baldwin (James) of Cary, NC, Lori Thomas (Theodis Jr.) of Waterbury, CT, Mariah Montgomery of Waterbury, CT and Mercedes Johnson of Waterbury, CT.; her sister Dinora Monterio of Massachusetts; her children-in-law, Jennifer Mazon of Florida and Gregory Johnson of Waterbury; and her goddaughters, Deborah Duarte of Waterbury and LaToya Smith of New York. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Zion Baptist Church (137 Pearl St, Waterbury, CT 06704). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the New Pine Grove Cemetery (850 Meriden Rd, Waterbury, CT 06705).
