It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alvin Leroy Singleton (Waterbury, Connecticut), born in Franklin, West Virginia, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Campbell B. Singleton and Elizabeth (Wright); his brother Campbell Singleton (Benny); and his children, Craig, Laurice, James and Jeffrey.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; and his sisters, Anna Dean Johnson of Pennsylvania and Frieda Baxter of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by eight grand children, sixteen great-grand children, many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
Mr. Singleton was an emeritus member of the Connecticut Chapter of Guardsman, a former member of The Elks of Philadelphia and past president of the American Heart Association.
