He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Bennett and Ruth Cross Bennett; his sister Patricia Thompson; his niece Lona; and his brother-in-law Edward Wendland.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Gaudio Bennett; his children, Peter Bennett (Melanie) of Meriden and Jamie Marcuss (Francis) of Meriden; his grandchildren, Connor, Owen Bennett, Molly and Morgan Marcuss; his sisters, Rebecca Best (James) of Manchester and Sue Bennett of Colchester; and his in-laws, John Gaudio (Donna) of Wolcott, Lucy Wendland of West Haven and Suzanne Improta (Victor) of West Haven. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
