She was predeceased by: her parents, Gabriel Cognata and Marie Piombino Cognata of North Haven. She is survived by: her significant other Joe Sechko; her sons, Steve Sechko (Heather), David Sechko and Scott Sechko (Jamie); and her siblings, Carol McGee (William) of Middletown and Philip Cognata (Liz) of Meriden. She is also survived by family to her many close friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
