He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah McIntyre Tierney; and his father Michael Francis Tierney. He is survived by: his mother Jean Weitner Tierney; his siblings, John Tierney (Wendy), Mary, Sharon, Sheila, Carolyn Tierney and Kerry Bender; his nieces and nephews, Maura Hamel (Anna), Kelly, Andrew, Mollie Hamel, Sean Hayden (Sydney), Brendan, Rose Hayden, Ian, McKeighry, Austin, Kienan Tierney, Kathleen Schatzman, Jack and Chelsea Bender; and his great-nephew Michael Tierney Hayden.
