He is survived by: his children, Donna Greenberg (Randy Greenberg) of Cheshire, Joseph Benson, Jr. (Cherie Mangino) of Wallingford and James Benson (Tracey) of Cheshire; his daughter-in-law Debbie Benson of Durham; his grandchildren, Sarah Grillo, David Greenberg, Stephen Greenberg, Joseph Benson III, Jennifer Benson, Jaquelyn Benson Caponigro, Maureen Hunter, Hannah Benson, Corey Alfieri and Charlette Alfieri; and his great grandchildren, Grayson, Aurelia, Violet Grillo and Enzo Caponigro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
