It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph D. Mezei of Wallingford, Connecticut, born in Meriden, Connecticut, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 36, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Joseph Catala and Joseph Mezei; and his godfather Stephen Moffett. He is survived by: his parents, William Mezei and Sandra Mezei (Catala); his brother William "Bill" Mezei Jr. (Crystal); his nephew Dominic Mezei; his grandmothers, Jean Catala (Joseph) and Elizabeth Mezei (Joseph); and his close friends, Eric Quigley and Shayne Catala. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be donated to his nephew Dominic Mezei's college fund.
