It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John H. DeLancey (Wallingford, Connecticut), who passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Corine L. DeLancey; his parents, Ralph DeLancey and Marie Houle DeLancey; his daughter Sheila Hamelin; and his siblings, Norman DeLancey and Joanne Allen.
He is survived by: his son David J. DeLancey (Virginia "Ginger") of North Haven; his grandchildren, Sara Kennedy (Ryan) of Glastonbury, Robyn Miranda (Joey) of Meriden and Kim Wojciechowski (John) of North Haven; his great grandchildren, Michael, Yassmine, Peyton and Parker; and his son-in-law Arthur "Chip" Hamelin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Yalesville Funeral Home (386 Main St, Yalesville, CT 06492). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (382 Hope Hill Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492).
