She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smith and Marion Smith (Higgins). She is survived by: her husband Jim McDowall of Wallingford; her children, Kaitlin McDowall and Kevin McDowall (Cloé Canivet); and her brothers, Frank Smith and William Smith.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (115 Pond Hill Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492).
