He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Detmers (CJ) and Esther Detmers (Dahlberg); his brother Larry Detmers; and his son-in-law Brian Berlepsch. He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Detmers (Garbe); his children, Holly Berlepsch of Northford, Bruce Detmers Jr. (Beth) of Woodbridge and Kirby Detmers (Karen) of Easthampton, MA; his grandchildren, Brian, Eric Berlepsch, Mollie Detmers, Jack Romano (Kate), Jesse, Carly and Jordan Detmers; his great grandchild James Romano; and his pet Fritzy Popeye.
