It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara H. Hocking (Wallingford, Connecticut), who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Hocking; her parents, Russell Harrison and Effie Harrison (Scranton); and her brother Irving Harrison. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Baber (Gary) of Acworth, NH and Gail Bighinati of Yalesville. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Yalesville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
