He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Freitag, Sr. and Barbara Freitag (Pallett); and his brother Thomas J. Freitag. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Freitag and David J. Freitag, Jr. (DJ); and his siblings, John W. Freitag, Jr. (Mary), Carl Freitag (Dede), Daniel Freitag (Christina), Robert Freitag, Edward Freitag (Yanyan), Barbararose Freitag Flood (Scott) and Kathryn Freitag (Kitty). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great friends.
