She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gladys Green and Geoffrey "Bill" FitzGerald; her brothers, David and Richard FitzGerald; her husband Joseph C. Desmond; her children, Christopher Desmond of Ellington, CT, Eileen Berry (Dean) of Enfield, CT, Sara Zitka (Dean) of Hanahan, SC, Peter Desmond (Darcy) of Vernon, CT, Neil Desmond (Tammy) of Hanahan, SC. and Jeanne Desmond of Groton, CT.; and her siblings, Steve FitzGerald and Anne Juhasz of Lakewood Ohio. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, an ever increasing mob of great grandchildren, and many beloved cousins, extended family and friends.
