He was predeceased by: his wife Lila Gendler (Marks); his parents, Clement and Rebecca Gendler (Goldberg); his daughter Susan Kaplan; and his brothers, Samuel Gendler, MD and Paul Gendler.
He is survived by: his son Dr. Robert Gendler of Avon; his grandchildren, Mindi, Craig, Harlee Kaplan, Gianna and James Gendler; and his great grandchildren, Sara Kaplan, Adriana Damiani and Gabriella Damiani.
