Arthur W. Grey Sr. Obituary
Arthur W. Grey, Sr., 84, of Unionville, beloved husband of Irene (Warner) Grey, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 11th, 2024. Born August 16th, 1939, in Stanford, NY, he was the son of the late Edward P. and Mary G. (McDonald) Grey. Art was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, serving honorably during the Vietnam War. He later served in the National Guard until 1980. Prior to retiring, he worked in Construction for many years. Art enjoyed fishing, camping with his family and arts and crafts where he created many wooden treasures. Art had a quick wit and funny sayings which was enjoyed by all.
Besides his wife of 66 years, he is survived by his children, LauraLee O'Neil and her husband Bob of North Adams, MA, Keena Monsam and her husband Gary of Winsted, Arthur W. Grey, Jr., and his wife Chris of Enfield, NH and Brian Grey and his wife Jennifer of Unionville, his grandchildren, Rob, Rick, Ryan, Taylor, Chad, Timmy and Dylan and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 716 Main St., Winsted, CT 06098.
