He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis Miller Fithian and Marian Dexter Fithian; his wife Doris Whiting; his children, Stephen of Uncasville and Nancy Fithian; his daughter-in-law Rosemary Jones of Wellington; his daughter Gail Fithian; his son-in-law David Hollender of Somerville, MA; and his sister Marian Elinor Jones of Prescott Valley, Arizona. He was also cherished by nine nieces and nephews.
