He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clair C. Koons and Mary Koons; his wife Jacqueline Hossler (Schroeder); his daughter Sandra Montgomery (John) of Ledyard; his granddaughters, Clarissa Chastain (Chad) and Alicia Sorensen; his sisters, Star Emery and Emma Byerly; his daughter Monique Hossler; and his brother Bill Hossler. He was also cherished by two great- grandchildren.
