He was predeceased by: his grandson Frederick G. Schalich; and his brother Frederick Schalich. He is survived by: his children, Wayne Schalich (Mary Lou), Lisa Nicolett (Tom), Lynda Kapostas and Mark Schalich (Colleen); his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Roger, Kara, Alyssa, Graham, Mallory, Matthew, Michael, Emily and Paul; his great grandchildren, Riley, Ceili and Ellie; and his brother Richard Schalich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
