He was predeceased by: his son Barry Scott Smith; his brothers, Seymour Linsley, Herbert Linsley (Barbara) and Bill Smith (Agnes); and his son-in-law Fred Nacovitch.
He is survived by: his parents, Thomas William Smith and Martha Ida Wyniger; his wife Gloria Kochis Smith; his children, Tom Smith, Tim Smith, Laura Nacovitch Cheryl Hersh (Nick) and Patti Reese (Jack); his grandchildren, Jason Nacovitch, Ryan Nacovitch (Melissa), Nick Hersh (Megan), Jesse Hersh, Emily Sciortino (James), Brad Reese (Keri), Jennie Reese and Ian Reese (Sandra); and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Everlith, Callie Everlith and Allie Hersh.
