He was predeceased by: his parents, Ochhavlal Modi and Taraben Shah; and his brother Vipin Modi. He is survived by: his wife Vandevi Dalal Shah; his children, Paula Seth (Runjan), Kevin Shah (Binta) and Anand Shah (Rupal); his grandchildren, Deven, Priyanka, Rishi, Amara, Dylan, Arya and Ryan; and his siblings, Bharat Shah, Pratima Desai, Shashi Shah and Geeta Shah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
