He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ambrose and Josephine Ambrose; and his brother Michael Ambrose. He is survived by: his wife Louise Doumar Ambrose of Trumbull; his sons, Stephen F. Ambrose Jr. (Victoria) of Vero Beach and James R. Ambrose (Jay); and his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Stephen III, Sarah, Matthew and Shannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
