He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica Sliva (Ryan); his son-in-law Stephen Peterson; his grandsons, Marc and Ryan Peterson; his granddaughter-in-law Ashlee Peterson; and his siblings, John, Stephen, Frank, Joseph, Frances Galanek, Mary Sliva and Dorothy Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maureen Brooks (Raymond) of Trumbull, Nanci Kurtz of Monroe and Barbara Peterson of Florida; his grandchildren, Lori Sheehan (Matthew) of Massachusetts, William Kurtz (Sarah) of Virginia, Scott Kurtz (Alexis) of California and Kevin Peterson of Florida; his siblings, Peter, Charles Sliva, Carol Tilt of Trumbull and Cecilia Sliva of Trumbull; his great grandchildren, Tom Sheehan, Megan Sheehan, Sabrina, Ava and John Kurtz; and also, Janina Moszyk and Angel of Poland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
