He was predeceased by: his parents, Wladyslaw Plona and Stanislawa Plona (Nalewajek); his daughter Urszula Plona; his siblings, Marianna Wresilo (Halina), Czeslaw, Jan, Mieczyslaw and Tadeusz Plona; and his brother-in-law Richard Cyganowski.
He is survived by: his wife Irena Plona (Grajko); his children, Ursula Plona of Trumbull, John Plona (Kathy Morissey) of Milford, Stanley Plona Jr. (Lisa) of Stratford and Barbara Traggianese (Robert) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Jesse Plona, Brittany Plona, Tyler Traggianese, Kayla Traggianese, Samantha Plona, Angelena Plona and Kara Traggianese; his sisters, Genowefa Cyganowski of Bridgeport and Irena Zera (Czeslaw) of Poland; and his brother-in-law Casimir Wresilo of Shelton. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
