It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rose D. Kalapos of Trumbull, Connecticut, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph DeSimone and Vincenza DeSimone (Alaimo); her husband George J. Kalapos, Sr.; and her brother Salvatore DeSimone. She is survived by: her children, George Kalapos Jr. (Felicia) of Stratford, Richard Kalapos and Mary Ann Kovacic (Ivan) of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Jennifer Parker (Jason), Jessica Saint Carroll (Brian), Jaclyn Kalapos-Rios (James), Jeffrey Z. Kalapos (Kelsey), Scott Kalapos (Amanda), Kristine Kalapos, Sara Rossley (John) and Lindsay Schaffer (William); her great grandchildren, William, Jayden, Sydney, Jake, Jack, Jenna, Joshua, Vince, Juliana, Declan, Patrick, Kate, Sophia and Liam; and her sister Angela Marsillio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Theresa Church (5301 Main St, Trumbull, CT 06611). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
