She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph DeSimone and Vincenza DeSimone (Alaimo); her husband George J. Kalapos, Sr.; and her brother Salvatore DeSimone. She is survived by: her children, George Kalapos Jr. (Felicia) of Stratford, Richard Kalapos and Mary Ann Kovacic (Ivan) of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Jennifer Parker (Jason), Jessica Saint Carroll (Brian), Jaclyn Kalapos-Rios (James), Jeffrey Z. Kalapos (Kelsey), Scott Kalapos (Amanda), Kristine Kalapos, Sara Rossley (John) and Lindsay Schaffer (William); her great grandchildren, William, Jayden, Sydney, Jake, Jack, Jenna, Joshua, Vince, Juliana, Declan, Patrick, Kate, Sophia and Liam; and her sister Angela Marsillio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
