He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Freeman and Mary Freeman (Dillon); his grandson Luke Richard Smith; and his brothers, Kenneth and David Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Freeman (Ciarmiello); his daughters, Cynthia Smith (William) of Bethany, CT, Alexandra of Wallingford, CT and Melissa Murray (Sean); his grandchildren, Bridget, Nora and Patrick of Worcester, MA; his siblings-in-law, Ralph and Pam Ciarmiello of Fairfield, CT; and his nieces and nephews, Christopher and Kaitlin.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Luke R. Smith Foundation, 22 Miller Road, Bethany, CT 06524.
