He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Koeln Sawhney; his daughters, Tara (Alison) and Hannah (Ryan); his sisters, Nita Varma (Mohan) and Sarita Kapuria (late Shiv); and his granddaughter Zoe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and several grandnephews, and a grandniece.
