Melekey Uyar Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Melekey Uyar of Trumbull, Connecticut. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hannadeeb Yaylagul and Maria Deveci Yaylagul; and her son Nikola Damien. She is survived by: her children, John Damien (Lina), Maria Uyar and Janet Yalaza; and her siblings, Victor, Mikail Yaylagul, Nazira Tas and Yamami Uyar. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through and pay their respects. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private "Rite of Burial" service for the family will begin immediately following the calling hours with the Archpriest Romanos Malouf officiating followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

Donations may be made to St. Nicholas Church in memory of Melekey.
