We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Matthew J. Areson (Trumbull, Connecticut). Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Matthew J. Areson to show support.

He is survived by: his parents, George and Emily; his siblings, Beth and Dan; his siblings-in-law, Ron and Ali; his niece Emily Pisarra; and his great-nephew Michael.

Face masks and social distancing will be required as guests enter the building, pay their respects and then exit the building without lingering to allow others the same opportunity. Interment will be held privately for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Matt's name to The Historic Organ Restoration Committee at BoardwalkOrgans.org, to continue his passion of preserving the remaining historic pipe organs in the northeast.

“Dear Matt's family and friends, My sons and I will miss him so much. He made us laugh every Wednesday when he came to our house for the piano lessons. He even put up with my son's lack of practice but always had time to talk with them about Star Wars movies. He taught my sons piano and electric guitar for 8 years, it was his personality and constant attention in those 30 min. lessons that gave them an immediate love of music. Its so hard for us to say good-bye to "Mr Matt". XO, the Browns”
