He was predeceased by: his parents, Onnig Kalemkerian and Arshaloos Kalemkerian (Devletian); and his brother Peter. He is survived by: his wife Louise; his daughters, Sarah Kalemkerian (Jason Munive) and Mary Kalemkerian; his granddaughter Isabella Jane; his pet Aurora; and his nieces and nephews, Lori, John, Gregory, Nina, Lucine, Gayané and Aren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joseph's memory to the Near East Foundation or the Connecticut Food Bank.
