He is survived by: his wife Maria Helena Rua Couto; his sons, Pedro Couto and Messias Couto; his brothers, Eusebio Couto of Branford, Alcino Couto of Portugal and Alvaro Couto of Portugal; and his grandsons, Austin, Dylan and Levi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. A Mass of Christian burial will be held privately for the family.
