He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sharkey and Margaret Leonard Sharkey; and his brother Vincent Sharkey, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Colleen Sharkey and Jason Sharkey (Diana); his grandchildren, Hunter, Sadi and Courtney; his great grandchild Anna; his brother Stephen (Jackie); and his pet Stella. He is also survived by his nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
The family requests that donations be made in John's memory to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231 or to a charity of one's choice.
